About the Activity
This tour it's created for wine and olive oil lovers, nature , old traditional villages , local life and culture. We explore Crete in a small group 6-7 people max or you can update into a Private Tour. We visit an olive oil factory where we learn all about olive oil production from harvesting to pressing then of course taste many different kind of olive oils combined with local herbs . After that we go up on the mountain to visit a few old traditional villages , walk through the old narrow streets, the old wind mills . Up on the mountain we stop at a family restaurant for lunch but it’s OPTIONAL. Next we will visit a winery so you can learn all about local grape varieties and wines then taste 5 or more different wines. We can pick you up from your hotel if it’s located in the Heraklion city area ,Heraklion port , Malia , Hersonisos, Gouves , Anissara , Analipsi . We can arrange to meet at a meeting point that is convenient for you .7 hours 30 minutes

Travel Itinerary
We will pick you up from your hotel or cruise Heraklion port or an address arranged before .
We will start our tour by visiting an olive oil factory where we learn all about and olive oil production and taste different kind of olive oil s.
Next we visit a few old traditional villages up to an altitude of 1000 feet above sea level where we walk through the old narrow streets and travel back in time while learning about the history of the village and local traditions.
After that we will enjoy a drink at the main square of the village.
we drive through mountains , olive groves and grapevines while we enjoy a glass of local wine , or 2 glasses………Tasting a few local wines up on the mountain with amazing views is a must .
After this experience we hit the road to go back to where we started ( propably drunk and singing……) well when we say drunk we don’t mean the driver .

- We can pick up clients from the Heraklion city or another point arranged before in Heraklion area , Malia , Hersonisos, Anissara, Stalida otherwise there is an extra charge for transfer from Agia Pelagia , Fodele or Sisi .
