About the Activity

This tour is unique because it provides an authentic Grenadian experience. It is the trademark of Grenada, being known as the 'isle of spice'. First stop is The House of Chocolate Museum which will have you indulging in some of the best local chocolate delights coupled with the history of chocolate making on the island. You would then move on to the Clarkes Court Distillery where you would learn about the history of Rum making on the South of the island as you get to sample some of the best and potent rums in the world. At the Laura’s Herb and Spice Gardens, you can become one with nature while observing some of the most intriguing local fruits, herbs & spices. For the Full day option you would then continue through to the lush interior where you will visit the Annandale Falls and the Grand Etang National Park & Lake.

Clarke's Court Rum Distillery
Woodlands St, St. George's, CaribbeanClarke’s Court Rum Distillery, Grenada Distillers Limited, it is a "must see" for all visitors, they are the island’s best-known and largest distillery and one of the most interesting historical sites. The factory has been in operation since 1937, and is situated in the southern part of the island, in the Parish of St George. You will learn about all the different processes and stages of making their fine rum. You would learn of the distilling process from sugar cane, syrup and molasses, to rum, and also the aging, blending and bottling processes. You would also get the opportunity to discover old steam engines, some dating as far back as 1886. The tour of the factory lasts about 15-20 minutes, after which you are invited to sample their award-winning rums at the sample bar.
