Its beaches were decreed on July 16, 2002 as a Protected Natural Area with the category of Sanctuary. Las Coloradas
Rio Lagartos, MexicoTo continue with the tour we will visit the pink lake or lagoon of "Las Coloradas". The water and the surrounding environment are incredibly salty, attracting brine shrimp, plankton, and red algae. As the water evaporates in the sunlight, these organisms become more concentrated and eventually create the famous bright pink water. Cenote Hubiku

Cenote Hubiku, has the meaning "the great lord" or "nest of the iguanas."
