About the Activity
My dog Molly and I were amazed at the number of tourists who arrived at the Battlefield, spent less than 10 minutes at the site of Scotland's greatest battle, then departed Bannockburn. Molly taught me to welcome visitors, give a warm hug, and say thank you for taking the time to remember our great heroes such as Robert the Bruce and James Douglas, and all those who fought, died, and survived at Bannockburn. Our outdoor tour on the Battlefield, covers the Wars of Independence, the Battle, and the aftermath up to the current day. We shall entertain you with stories of the main characters and the small folk who influenced the battle. We also do a Stirling Bridge tour, the scene of William Wallace’s greatest victory. Freedom Tour Today is the perfect way to welcome visitors and learn more about why so many people hold Scotland and our history, dear to their hearts. Sadly Molly passed away on the 15th of February 2024 with her Mum & Dad by her side. We miss her so much <31 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes

Please arrive 10 minutes before your tour starts. The nearest toilets are inside the visitor's centre. Please note, this tour is not linked to the Bannockburn Visitors Centre. We shall send more information a few days before your tour which includes our favourite places to eat and drink including our favourite coffee shop. We also produce unique T-Shirts and Hoodies to fundraise for the Medieval Societies link to the characters (King Robert the Bruce, The Good Sir James Douglas, Isabella MacDuff, and others). If you would like to order one of these, please get in touch. We shall send details nearer the time of how we promote Stirling, fundraise and give to charity from our tours.
