About the Activity
On this tour, you will experience Bonaire's Donkey Sanctuary - a habitat created to rescue donkeys needing extra care, food and water. You will interact with the donkeys throughout the drive as they regularly "say hello" and attempt to put their noses through the car window! You can also purchase a few carrots at the sanctuary to feed a few lucky donkeys while on your visit. At the sanctuary, you will also see a few other things. The Special Care Unit is an area of the sanctuary where we will learn about the services provided to bring a distressed donkey back to health. You can also visit the garden, where you will see local plants, tortoises, and iguanas. Climbing the watchtower will give you a great view of the entire sanctuary and an excellent photo opportunity. We'll round out our visit with a refreshing drink from the terrace, where you can spot some beautiful pink flamingos over the salt lake.1 hour 30 minutes

Cruise Ship Passengers: Your guide will welcome you with your first name or last name on a sign in front of the cruise ship exit/enter gate where your ship is docked.
As you walk away from your ship, you will be approaching a security checkpoint gate. When you exit the gate, walk straight forward, and look straight ahead. Your guide will be there 15 minutes before the start of your tour to collect you.
Please Note: If your tour starts at 08:30, your guide will pick you up 15 minutes (08:15) before the start time of your tour.

Kralendijk(Pass By)
Kralendijk, CaribbeanAt the start of the tour, we will tell you about the downtown area of Kralendijk.
Downtown Kralendijk consists of a few streets and is easily walkable. Kaya Grandi is the Main Street, where you will find most shops, restaurants, and cafes. After the tour, we can drop you off in the centre if you want to do some shopping and walk around. If you're on a cruise, the ship port is about a 5-minute walk from the downtown district, and you can easily see and walk back to your ship before departure.
