About the Activity
WHY CHOOSE US FOR SURF LESSONS? Well that's a good question! We have been in the business of teaching people to surf for over 20 years and were one of the first surf schools in Newquay to do so. We have always been affiliated with Surfing GB who have trained and qualified all of our instructors, they have recently achieved national governing body status which is awesome Our surf coaches live and breath surfing and have surfed and taught all over the world, if they are not in the sea teaching they will be in the sea surfing for fun. All of our coaches our qualified beach lifeguards, community responders for the RNLI and attend a yearly casualty care course. For more info on our Coaches please visit the meet the team page. Your beginner surf lessons here in Mawgan Porth, Newquay last for 2.5 hours, with all the equipment you will need included within the price. Our beginner surf lessons include a safety brief, talk on rip currents (including how to avoid and get out of one safely), an introduction to your equipment and the important practical lesson on how to catch waves and stand up on your board (we have a 95% stand up rate on our lessons). When booking your surf lesson, do let us know if it is your first time experience or whether you are aiming to progress your surfing to the next level. We will make sure you are put into a group of surfers of the same ability and experience. We work on a maximum instructor to student ratio of 1:8 to ensure that each student has the appropriate level of guidance and tuition.
