It was formerly called the Monastery of Iron of Saints or Logius and Arsanyos and then named after the famous Roman martyr George. The church is located inside a high wall on a high hill where there is only the archaeological church and buildings for some Coptic families. The church is modeled after the churches of Akhmim from the 16th and 17th centuries. The monastery was called iron in relation to ..
