About the Activity
Today you will visit one of the famous Buddhist Grottoes in Tianshui Gansu China, it is listed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, built in 384-417 AD with about 10632 clay sculptures and stone carvings, 221 Buddha caves, and 1300 square meters murals, famous for its exquisite clay sculpture art, and known as the Oriental Sculpture Art Exhibition Hall. Then you will visit the Fuxi temple and one of the most famous scenic spot Daoism temple ,it is one of the famous ancient buildings in Northwest China. It was originally named Taihao palace, commonly known as Renzong temple, where Fuxi was worshipped. It is said that he is the ancestor of the Chinese people. The second day you will visit the Buddhism treasure house Water curtain (shuiliandong) cave the 2nd largest water curtain cave in Tianshui , built in 558A.D. in China’s Northern Wei Dynasty.
