This one-of-a-kind tour is personally led by Kimber Fountain, author of three books on Galveston history including Galveston's Red Light District: A History of The Line, offering you a firsthand experience of her decade of research into the topic. A professional speaker and riveting storyteller, Kimber brings to life the tales, both tragic and triumphant, of the women who wanted to make their own rules and the city that wanted to let them. The tour also highlights the fascinating subject of Kimber's third book, the Maceo family and the era known as The Free State of Galveston. See former brothels that still exist in Galveston, accompanied by dozens of historic photos that offer visitors an insight into this history that only Kimber can give.
