About the Activity
Kaso(過疎) is a word in Japanese which means dramatic depopulation. And my place, Hikimi town is the first one which was called "kaso" town. That is why there is rich nature here. In Hikimi, water-grown wasabi is commonly grown on farms in the Keiryū style (渓流式). The water comes from the Takatsu River system, which is one of the cleanest rivers in Japan. That is why wasabi field in Hikiim is known as Heritage of NHK(national broadcasting). < Entry qualifications and notes > - If you fear of heights or water, Please refrain from participation. - There are no toilet except meeting point and dispersion place - Take care of dangerous creatures (bee, horse fly, poison snake, bear, nettle, lacquer tree, etc) - Take care of falling rocks, falls, injuries when using agricultural tools. - It is recommended to subscribe for disability insurance.5 hours

1. Guide will come to pick you up to the meeting place.
2. If necessary, you change your clothes or get rent items and fitting of boots.
3. Climb up a mountains or valleys to wasabi field for about 1 hour,
4. Have lunch with real wasabi.
5. Do farm work at their own pace. Harvest wasabi as your souvenirs.
6. Descend the mountain then guide send you off to the nearest bus stop or Auberge WASABI
