One way transfers from the end point (Ketetahi) to the start of the Crossing (Mangatepopo). Free, secure all day parking.
This is the popular hassle free and cheapest option if you have your own car.
You will do the 6-8 hour hike back to your car in the car park which is located a short walk from the end of the Tongariro Crossing. No need for afternoon shuttle transfers.
Bookings:
DOC require all visitors to book/notify in advance, (free of charge) if you are walking the TAC. Head to the DOC website for more information and to complete the form.
This needs to be done prior to departure and preferably before you book a shuttle. You will need to show proof to the driver.

Pickup details
Tour operator will pick up all customers from their respective locations- Travelers CANNOT choose a custom pickup or meeting location.
- Pick up is in the ONLY secure off road car park located opposite the end of the hike at Ketetahi on highway 46. Please tell us your pick up time. 7am, 8am. You must arrive at least 15 minutes early so you don't miss the shuttle. Times are subject to change due to availability or weather conditions. *PLEASE NOTE* NO babies or toddlers are permitted to travel as we do not provide car seats.

No redemption point. This is a direct entry ticketOn entering the car park you will need to show booking confirmation. You will then be shown where to park and also where to wait for the shuttle.Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellable up to 24 hours before the travel date (local supplier time) for a full refund. A 100% cancellation penalty applies for cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the start time.- For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
- Suplier may cancel the activity on account of bad weather conditions.
- Suplier may cancel the activity due to too few participants.
- Cancel at least 1 day before activity starts in Pacific/Auckland time to receive 100% refund.
