With an approximate duration of 3H, we will discover one of the few water points on the surface in the Lagoons of Arrimal. These support a huge number of species of plants and animals that find the ideal place to grow here. We will find abandoned windmills, the wells and cisterns show the need for humanity in the collection and preservation of a high-value resource, water. Ecopista marks the use of the old train line that used to transport coal from the Bezerra mines. We will ascend to the top of the mountain by roads that take us to places with fantastic views over the coast. If we are lucky we will see the ocean and identify the Berlengas Islands. The “Arco da Memória” marks the limit of the Coutos de Alcobaça and the beginning of the lands of the King.
