About the Activity
We will guide you aboard our own ship. Cruising while looking at the beautiful scenery around Zamami Island until you arrive at the point! You can deepen your knowledge about whales! It's good to relax in preparation for watching! Once you arrive at the point, a thrilling time begins where you don't know where it will appear from 360 degrees. First, let's discover the whale's burou (water vapor that appears on the water)! After that, the whales will show you various actions! You may be able to pass under the ship or appear right next to the ship and get sprayed with water! You can have a moving experience that you can't get anywhere else. You can also combine it with an optional kayak or snorkel tour, so you can spend the whole day on Zamami Island. *Minimum number of participants is 3. In 2024, it will be held from January 5th to the end of March.
We will guide you on a comfortable watching boat equipped with a toilet.
50 minutes by high-speed boat from Tomari Port in Naha
Whale watching starts from the port of Zamami Island.
Specialist staff will search for whales from several observation decks overlooking the ocean area, and once they have found them, they will contact the ship and set sail. The chances of seeing them are very high, and since you will be heading directly to the point, you can enjoy plenty of time watching with a short trip.
After taking a short lecture on the ecology of whales, we set off!
It's fast, so it's easy to get to the point where the whales are.
Ride the boat for about 30 minutes, and when you arrive at the point, move to a place where you can easily see the boat and look for whales.
As your eyes get used to it, the speed at which you find things will become faster and faster.
You can see the whales very close without causing stress, so it is sure to be a great memory.

Pickup details
Tour operator will pick up all customers from their respective locations; or, customers can make their own way to the start point- Travelers CANNOT choose a custom pickup or meeting location.
- Please meet at the waiting area at Zamami Port 10 minutes before the tour starts. Please speak to the staff holding the "DRIFTER (or Kerama Kayak Center)" sign. If you are staying on Zamami Island from the previous day and your accommodation is outside Zamami Ward, please contact us.
- Travelers will be picked up 20 minutes before departure time
