Ghosts Of Downtown Tucson Haunted History Tour
Things to know
About the Activity
Dude ranches, gem shows, hiking, cycling– 21st century Tucson offers a lot to see and do. But only a century ago, the “Old Pueblo” had a rougher edge, formed from early years as a military outpost and stage station. Stories of this wild western town, a town that witnessed tribal wars, stagecoach robberies, gentleman bandits and enterprising pioneers, were born from that era. Come walk the sidewalks of historic downtown Tucson and hear tales of valor and defeat, successes and tragedy. You’ll hear familiar names like John Dillinger and Clark Gable, and new ones such as Clara Levlowitz. Allow your imagination to envision the once-elegant, exciting Santa Rita Hotel and the secrets it held within. Gaze upon the majesty of St. Augustine’s Cathedral which started as a one-room chapel. And when your guide stops at the former Pioneer Hotel, pay tribute to the tragedy that rocked the building and the town in 1970. As always, keep your eyes open for the spirits that still roam historic downtown.1 hour 30 minutes
