Jardin Botanique de Deshaies
Villers, Deshaies, Caribbean, 97126Your guide will then take you to the botanical garden in the village of Deshaies, also known as Village Honoré. During this free one-hour visit, you can admire a magnificent collection of water lilies, a pond full of koi carp, discover the village of parrots and lorikeets, and the majestic Talipot palm, unique in Guadeloupe! You’ll also have the chance to feed the animals present! You will continue your excursion with a visit to Port Honoré, where all the scenes linked to the departure or arrival of a boat, or referring to a port, were filmed. You’ll discover a sublime view of the village bay, its church and a distant glimpse of Catherine’s bar. It’s a sublime spot for souvenir photos. Deshaies, CaribbeanYour guide will then take you to the Honoré police station. This is the only permanent film location devoted exclusively to this detective series. Visits are permitted from December to April. On the programme: meeting room, inspector’s and officers’ offices, prisons, suspect board, etc. You can visit this unique site on the island and leave with unforgettable memories. What’s more, you can make purchases (T-shirts, caps, tote bags, etc.) in the dedicated series shop inside. Deshaies, CaribbeanWe end the morning with a local lunch at Catherine’s bar. This restaurant, made famous by the detective series, is also renowned for its high-quality local cuisine. Your driver-guide will introduce you to Guadeloupean cuisine and the drinks on the menu. You’ll have an hour and a half to enjoy this unique experience for fans of the series. To make your experience as enjoyable as possible, the menu will be sent to you by e-mail so that you can order it in advance. This way, on the day of your excursion, you can fully enjoy the experience without worrying about time constraints. Please note: Catherine’s bar may not be available for various reasons (closed on Wednesdays, fully booked, etc.). In this case, your local guide will take you to another restaurant for lunch.
