The public wash house in Rio nell’Elba is located inside a building with a trussed ceiling and large windows, near the Fonte dei Canali, from which it is powered.
Over time it has undergone various transformations. The old wash house was in fact located inside the building where the water pumping station is now located. Spiaggia di Terranera
Porto Azzurro, Italy, 57036Terranera beach, very interesting from a geological point of view, is also one of the most suggestive beaches on the Island of Elba.
The peculiarity of this place is due to the beautiful Terranera lake (from which the beach takes its name): a small emerald green body of water, in stark contrast to the intense blue of the sea. The pond was born following the filling of sulphurous and marine water of the small mining basin where hematite, magnesite and pyrite were extracted.
