Waitsfield Covered Bridge(Pass By)
Bridge St, Waitsfield, United States, 05673Vermont holds the record for the greatest number of authentic covered bridges per capita in the country.
We will see several of these protected bridges on our drive along RT 100. Some of our favorites are at Warren, Waitsfield and Jeffersonville which as at the very northern end of our drive, and actually located on RT108.View Location2
Stowe
Stowe, United StatesIs there a quainter ski mountain town in the US?
Oh it's got superb skiing and facilities on Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak but it's the picture postcard perfect town center and friendly locals that provide a unique reprieve from citylife for most visitors.
But believe it or not, Stowe's busiest time is the summer when visitors flock for activities like hiking, golf, rockclimbing, biking and ziplining.
Stowe is also a favorite location for the amazing Fall foliage show and leaf peepers arrive from all over the world to enjoy the amazing colors.2 hours • Admission Ticket FreeView LocationSmugglers Notch(Pass By)
United StatesWhat is a notch? Well that depends on where you are from. It's the lowest point in a mountain range. In the South you'll probably call it a gap, in the West it's a pass.
So Smugglers Notch represents the path between the Green Mountains and Sterling Range. Anything from goods, livestock and liquor was transported and even slaves escaping to Canada used this route.
Smugglers Notch is a fun and scenic part of our drive and actually follows RT108 between Stowe and Jeffersonville which is the northern end point (or start point) of our tour route.View Location3
Yes, the same family as in the epic Sound of Music movie settled in the United States, fleeing Nazi occupied Austria in 1939.
After touring the country, they purchased an old farm in Stowe, later renamed to Trapp Family Lodge.
There is now extensive accommodations, dining and a brewery onsite.1 hour • Admission Ticket Not IncludedView Location

Few things are as classic-Vermont as a cup of hot apple cider on a cold day. But when fermented, apple cider is also a delicious alternative to beer and wine. And even better, cider makes a terrific flavor for donuts.
We will recommend a stop at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill to try all of these treats!1 hour • Admission Ticket Not IncludedView Location
