About the Activity
Experience the traditional olive picking in Cres! Spend the day with a local family, participate in the olive harvest and get a bottle of fresh pressed Cres olive oil as a memory of the experience. Cres olive oil is one of the top olive oils in the Mediterranean. Its top quality is the result of the way olives are picked, their geographical location, and controlled processing at the local olive oil mill. During this tour, you will go through the entire process: from olive picking with a local family and learning the harvesting techniques to seeing the production of freshly pressed olive oil from the olive oil mill. You will also enjoy a delicious local snack in the olive grove and get a bottle of the fresh cold pressed extra virgin olive oil as a memory from your olive picking experience. Dress in comfortable clothing (layers recommended), have closed toe shoes or sneakers. Bring at least 1 liter of water per person. Cap or hat also recommended.4 hours

Although there are machines helping with the harvest, a lot of it is still done by hand like in the older days. The family will show you how everything is done and you can help them in olive picking.
