Little Africa highlights locations significant to the history of Black people in Rio de Janeiro, places that were previously overlooked and silenced. The guided tour includes a decolonial narrative and essential attractions, such as the Valongo Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2017. Over one million enslaved Africans disembarked at this wharf, making it the largest slave port in the Americas. This tour is a journey through the resilience of a people who reinvented themselves in the diaspora, significantly influencing Brazil's civilizational values, national identity, and culture. During this experience, you will see and experience: Afro-Brazilian Heritage; Afro-Carioca Art; Afro Cuisine; Architectural Heritage; Cultural Awareness.
