Corsica, an island of beauty, has around a hundred islets called satellite islands. For the most part, these are simply uninhabited rocks in the sea along the coastline. But for others they shelter or have sheltered, lighthouses, semaphores, Genoese towers which were closely linked to maritime navigation and fishing. Each islet has its own history.
