About the Activity

Experience a sample of Irish Whiskey in a 700 year old Medieval Building. We were the home to Alice Kyteler, who was accused of Witchcraft, Heresy and Murder. We are located in the heart of Kilkenny and is at the center of the first witch trial known to the British Isles long before Salem.

We will tell you about the history of the Medieval Inn from its former owner Alice Kyteler and her connection to the 700 years of whiskey in Kilkenny to the famous witch burning in 1324 . Each guest will have a tasting mat of 4 x20cl of hand picked whiskey that show case Irish Whiskey. The barman on hand will pop over to explain the selection of whiskeys, why they were chosen and how to sample them.
