About the Activity

We are 100% Alaskan owned & operated - Our focus is on giving you an amazing experience in Skagway on your trip to The Yukon and British Columbia. Unlike the other attractions in Skagway, we stop along the way and explain what you are looking at and its history to Skagway, Alaska, and the Yukon. Along the way, we'll see plenty of valleys, rivers, waterfalls, and Alaskan wildlife. The tour will continue up the Klondike Highway to a remote sled dog camp in the Canadian tundra, where you'll get to play with sled dog puppies & meet their trainers & handlers. You won't be rushed or limited to play time here! Our tour will pick up all guests and get you back in time for your ship. Please note: You wILL be leaving the United States and entering Canada, so a valid passport is required for most travelers. Foreign travelers need to ensure they are able to leave the US, enter Canada, and re-enter the US. Enhanced Drivers Licenses (US) are also accepted.

This is the main part of our tour! Here,, you'll get to play with future Iditarod & Yukon Quest champions - and even possibly meet musher Michelle Phillips or Ed Hopkins ! While at their camp, you'll get to play and pet with the dogs and have time with her handlers & trainers & learn about the races. The dog sled camp is also home to a small gift shop & restrooms. Travelers CANNOT choose a custom pickup or meeting location.
We pick up at every cruise ship port just past port security where the bus parking area is. We will arrive 10 to 15 minutes early and our representatives have RED signs that say Skagway Tours. ALL GUESTS, INCLUDING CHILDREN, MUST BRING PASSPORTS AND ANY OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION for all tours with our company. Photo copies ARE NOT permitted. Photo ID and birth certificates are not acceptable unless the guest is a U.S. or Canadian citizen.
Travelers will be picked up 15 minutes before departure time

No redemption point. This is a direct entry ticketThank you for booking Pet The Puppies & Summit Tour with Skagway Tours. Your excursion includes the City/Summit tour up the Klondike Highway into Canada, where we will have 6 or 7 photo stops along the journey to the Tutshi Lake Sled Dog Camp, located in remote British Columbia, Canada. You'll have about 45 minutes of time to explore the sled dog camp, meet the puppies, mushers, and trainers. Please note: there is no cell service along the journey once we leave Skagway! This includes data and voice. Restrooms/latrines along the route are very primitive with no running water. GUESTS OF ALL NATIONALITIES MUST BRING PASSPORTS AND ANY OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION for all tours with our company. Photo copies ARE NOT permitted. Photo ID and birth certificates are not acceptable unless the guest is a U.S. or Canadian citizen. You will be met at the end of your cruise ship dock by a representative of Skagway Tours. ALL GUESTS MUST ARRIVE 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE TOUR DEPARTURE TIME. Due to the nature of our tours we must depart on time at the stated departure time listed above. If your ship is at the Railroad Dock – Please go to the "ZONE B / Skagway FishCo" checkpoint, this is adjacent to the area where shuttles and tenders will drop you off. Look for a representative holding a RED sign that reads, "SKAGWAY TOURS." If your ship is at the Broadway Dock - Walk to the end of the pier "foot bridge" to the parking lot directly in front of your ship and look for a representative holding a RED sign that reads, "SKAGWAY TOURS." If your ship is at the Ore Dock - Walk to the red weather shelter which is located directly across the footbridge in the parking lot next to the cruise ship. Wait here for your driver/guide who will be carrying a RED sign that reads, "SKAGWAY TOURS." Failure to bring proper proof of citizenship is not enough to constitute a refund. We will offer 100% refunds if your cruise ship can not dock in Skagway.

Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellable up to 24 hours before the travel date (local supplier time) for a full refund. A 100% cancellation penalty applies for cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the start time.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Suplier may cancel the activity on account of bad weather conditions.
Suplier may cancel the activity due to too few participants.
Cancel at least 1 day before activity starts in America/Juneau time to receive 100% refund.
