We will kayak down the Santa María River in the Sierra Gorda of Querétaro. After meeting at the meeting point we will go to the river, where we will begin with a talk about the activity and the river we will descend. We will give you a brief lesson on how to handle the kayak to enjoy the river in a safe and fun way (the activity is done in a section of the river with category 1 rapids, suitable for people without experience and the type of kayak we will use is an open-top kayak). After the lesson we will put on the equipment and practice using the kayak. Once we are ready we will begin the descent; we will pass through pools where the water is calm and we will have the opportunity to observe the landscape, flora and fauna of the river; between each pool is the most exciting part of the descent: The Rapids; there we will paddle practicing what we have learned, enjoying the waves, the speed of the water and the adrenaline. Halfway through the journey we will stop for a while to swim and relax in a pool surrounded by abundant nature. The descent ends where the Ayutla River joins the Santa María River.View Location
