About the Activity

If you want to visit the Stateopera in a SMALL GROUP and hear funny facts about the celebrities of the opera and the ballet, this is your tour! The tickets are already included in the price. The entrance ONLY is possible at the times specified by the Opera (and it depends on rehearsals & performances). If it is not possible to enter, I can guide you in the House of Music or the Mozart House instead. The tour starts IN FRONT of the MAIN ENTRANCE of the Opera. Additionally, we´ll take a walk in the center and I´ll show you where they keep the original recipe of the Sacher cake, where Johann Strauß met his first wife and why there´s a hare statue at the sausage stand next to the museum Albertina. We´ll also pass near the Capuchin Crypt where the Habsburgs remains rest in peace and end up your tour at the fantastic St. Steven’s Cathedral. ;)

Built 150 years ago, it caused a great scandal that even resulted in the death of an architect... We will see the very pompous old part and the modern part, built after the Second World War.
