About the Activity

For ages 5+ only, experience Newport's only open air trolley tour with breath-taking views of Ocean Drive and the Gilded Age mansions along Bellevue Ave and the Cliff Walk. You will also visit the inside of the Breakers mansion for an additional 90 minutes. This narrated tour covers 150 points of interest including Newport's Gilded Age, Colonial and Naval History . Shopping, dining, boat tours, lighthouses, sunsets and Newport's best activities of today are also explained See TV and movie sets come to life such as Hocus Pocus 2, HBO's The Gilded Age, and classics such as Amistad, True Lies, The Great Gatsby, and a dozen others. Your guide also explains how to navigate the city on your own and the best places to park for free.

The fort is also home to President Eisenhower's summer home called the Eisenhower House. There are also 2 water taxi stops and free public parking at Fort Adams State Park. Tour may be canceled if rain is in the forecast. Park at the Newport Transportation Center public lot (23 America's Cup Ave) and locate the white open air trolley at Platform #2 outside. Parking available on site for a fee. Restrooms are located at the rear entrance of the bus terminal Tours depart promptly at scheduled times. We recommend travelers plan to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to departure time to find a parking spot and in case of any unforeseen traffic jams due to construction and accidents. No shows, late arrivals, and cancellations made within 24 hours are non refundable. You may present this ticket directly on the trolley, show your smartphone or printed ticket to driver to check-in. The driver will provide your Breaker's Mansion pass if you purchased that option. Please do not meet directly at the Breakers mansion.
