About the Activity

Discover the beauty of Norway's natural landscapes on an easy-going guided nature tour with transportation from Eidfjord. From Eidfjord we start the a scenic drive and follow the Eio River, enter the Måbø Valley. You arrive at the Hardangervidda mountain plateau to take in vast views over the awe-inspiring National Park. From here you'll also get unobstructed views of Vøringfossen, an impressive 182-meter waterfall thundering into the Måbø Valley. Enjoy leisure time to take in the panorama, stop for a slice of homemade cake at a local hotel, or join the guide for an easy hike via a 47-meter-wide walking bridge over a gorge. Continue the tour to the uniquely impressive Sysen Dam, where you can also catch sight of Norway's second-largest glacier. Take one last stop on a mountain plateau to appreciate the scenic landscape, before heading back. note: until mid-may residual snow may result in a change of itinerary. The opening day of the hotel varies, usually it's in the end of may.
