Brandon Creek
Dingle, IrelandSaint Branden, like the rest of the world, could only speculate about what lay further to the west when he set sail from this small wharf in the sixth century. Will he and his little band of supporters make it to the edge of the planet or will they be overthrown by ferocious sea monsters who govern the vast beyond? He had no idea, but his faith kept him going. The "Voyage of St. Brendan the Navigator", compiled in the 9th Century tells the history of a party of men who may have been the first people to visit Iceland, Greenland, and possibly Nova Scotia before returning via the Hibbertias. 20 minutes • Admission Ticket FreeView Location6
