About the Activity
An out of the ordinary Northern Lights tour! Starting with a capable 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser, we will reach the best areas with suitable skies to chase the elusive Aurora Borealis. Being an active outdoor tour, if the weather conditions allow, we may go hiking or snowshoeing a bit deeper in the backcountry, reaching wild landscapes, calm fjords, frozen lakes and the best spots that the Arctic has to offer, away from the mass tourism crowd. Whether the ground will be covered in ice or snow, you will be provided with ice crampons or snow rackets, walking poles, thermal suits as well as foot and hand warmers. Remember to wear your own warm snow boots! Your guide will take photos of you and the lights, but if you have a camera as well, bring it along! You'll get tips on how to take your own Aurora photographs and use a professional tripod. A soup for dinner, cookies and hot drinks will warm us up in the wild, while enjoying the night Arctic sky!5 hours to 9 hours

Tromso, NorwayAt the beginning of the tour, your guide will analyze several weather forecasts in order to predict the best areas for chasing the Northern Lights. We will then set off aboard our capable 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser until the right area is reached. After the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel or accommodation in Tromsø centre. If your accommodation is outside of Tromsø island, you will be dropped off at the nearest bus or taxi stop. View Location

- This tour is not suitable for elderly participants, people with any injury, sickness, movement disability, wheelchairs, walkers, crutches. It is an active tour.
- You must be in good physical shape to walk at least 300m on uneven terrain that may be snowy, icy, wet and slippery.
- The Northern Lights Tour cannot have a specific duration. That is due to the natural conditions like weather and northern light activity, which cannot be predicted accurately; therefore, the tour can last from 5 to 9 hours, even though the average is around 6 hours.
- We kindly ask you to provide us with your email address to be able to send you the pictures after the tour.
- Please provide us your contact (country code + phone number) where you will be reachable during your stay in Tromsø in case of any tour update.
- Please give us your clothing and shoe sizes for providing you the correct equipment for the tour.
- You must advise us of any specific dietary requirements at time of booking as well as medical condition if needed.
- This tour operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Make sure you wear warm and water resistant clothes and have an extra layer with you and boots that are suitable for winter and snow.
- If you are travelling with kids younger than 13 or shorter than 150 cm - 59 inches please choose the private tour option.
