About the Activity
The Isle of Skye is a Mystical and Magical place that has long been associated with Fairies. This day long tour from Inverness takes you to some of these places where you can spend time walking and soaking up the Atmosphere. The Fairy Pools at the foot of the Cuillin mountains where some visitors are tempted to swim. The Fairy Glen on the Trotternish peninsula is a lovely peaceful place with some magnificient views and beautiful walks. The Fairy Bridge where the chief of Clan Macleod saw his Fairy wife for the last time before she returned to Fairyland. The Fairy Flag can be seen in Dunvegan Castle - home of the Clan Macleod for more than 800 years. On our way to the Isle of Skye we will also stop at Eilean Donan Castle for a photo opportunity. When Dunvegan castle is closed we will go to Portree instead of the castle and The Fairy Bridge.12 hours

The Fairy Flag is to be found in Dunvegan Castle but is thought to have come from The Fairy Bridge which is 3 miles away from the Castle. This site is magical but also a bit tragic as this is supposed to be the last location where the Chief of Clan Macleod saw his Fairy wife before leaving to return to Fairyland.
