1
Art House Project
, Naoshima-cho, Japan, 761-3110Art house project (Multi - Site Ticket for six art houses JPY 1,050) The Art House Project is an art project underway in the Honmura district of Naoshima Town. It started in 1998 at Kadoya, and now there are 7 places: Kadoya, Minamidera, Kinza, Goo Shrine, Ishibashi, Gokaisho, and Kaisha. In this project, the artist will take up vacant houses scattered in a residential area, turn the space itself into a work of art, and interweave the history and memories of the time when the building lived and was used. Visitors moving from one house to another pass through the Honmura area. A notable feature of the Art House project is that it is a process of not only working on works of art, but also perceiving layers, as everyday life unfolds around them. Time and history woven into the community, and the structure of the lives of the locals. Seeing it means crossing a part of everyday life, acting as a catalyst for interaction between visitors and locals, creating many memorable episodes.3 hours • Admission Ticket FreeView Location
