About the Activity
"Zistwar Dité" has been designed to offer you a unique experience. This excursion allows you to follow the path of the tea pickers in the heart of one of the oldest tea plantations in Mauritius, then to visit the Tea Factory and the Domaine de Bois Chéri Museum. You will have the chance to learn traditional picking techniques and all the stages of tea production. The visit continues with a tea tasting offered in the Chalet du Domaine de Bois Chéri which overlooks the Lac des Cygnes. A tea-based meal is then served in the Bois Chéri Restaurant offering a panoramic view of the south coast of the island.8 hours

Bois Cheri Tea Factory and Tea Museum
Bois Cheri Road, , Bois CheriBois Chéri is the first tea plantation in Mauritius dates back to 1892.
A guide will lead you through the factory and the tea plantation, offering you to discover the history, stories and tales of the Bois Chéri and the importance of tea productions in Mauritius.
After the guided tour of the tea factory, you will visit the tea production museum learning more about the history of tea in Mauritius.
The Bois Chéri offers a great panoramic view of the south of the island.
A Tea-based meal is served in the Bois Cheri Restaurant.

Pickup details
Tour operator will pick up all customers from their respective locations- Travelers can choose a custom pickup or meeting location.
- Full day tour for a maximum of 8 hours, inclusive as from pick-up and drop off at the residing location. Any additional hours will be charged at a supplement rate per hour, payable directly to the driver. Pick-up and drop-off in a chauffeur driven, private air-conditioned vehicle. 1 to 3 persons in private car 4 to 7 persons in private minibus We pick up all over the island and not only at the listed hotels. Please do let us have name of your hotel. Also, please give us a call on the eve of the excursion so that we can advise about your exact pick up time.
