About the Activity

Cape Coast is a historical and cultural city located in the central region of Ghana. It is known for its rich history, beautiful beaches, and fascinating landmarks. A tour of Cape Coast offers visitors an opportunity to explore the remnants of Ghana's colonial past and delve into its vibrant culture. One of the highlights of a Cape Coast tour is the Cape Coast Castle. This former slave fort has been preserved as a museum and provides an eye-opening experience about the transatlantic slave trade. Visitors can take guided tours through the dungeons where enslaved Africans were held before being shipped to the Americas. Another must-visit site in Cape Coast is Elmina Castle, another significant fort that played a role in the transatlantic slave trade. Like Cape Coast Castle, it offers guided tours that provide deep insights into this dark chapter of history. Apart from its historical attractions, Cape Coast also boasts stunning beaches and Kakum National Park the famous canopy walk
