About the Activity
Unique to Shetland, Up Helly Aa is a sight to behold. On the last Tuesday of January, the townspeople of Lerwick don traditional Viking attire and march through the town's streets to King Harald Street where they burn a wooden Viking galley. Festivities go on late in to the night, with the squads performing hilarious acts in venues around the town. Join us to witness this amazing spectacle whilst exploring some of Shetland's most stunning scenery, and learning a little about the history of Britain's most northerly archipelago.5 days
