Join an Edinburgh-based Mountain Guide on a hike in the remote Scottish Highlands Scotland's mountains are world famous, so a trip to the hills should definitely be on your to-do list when you're in Edinburgh. Experience the rugged beauty of some of Scotland's highest mountains as you hike through some of the country's most amazing landscapes. This 11km hike takes us far into the wilderness, where we often see rare wildlife, spectacular sunsets, and incredible mountain views. We use public transport to get from Edinburgh to the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, where we spend the day hiking in the mountains. You will need to purchase your own train tickets from Edinburgh Waverley to Aviemore (best option is 'Anytime Return'). These can be purchased from ScotRail online in advance, or at the station on the day.12 hours to 13 hours
