About the Activity

We have confirmed the tour departing on February 16th. For other available dates, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are Tranquwell, a company specializing in creating wellness retreat tours in Japan. This 4-day luxury retreat is designed for wellness seekers looking to discover themselves and connect with like-minded individuals. Warm up your body and mind, and rejuvenate yourself through various activities such as ZAZEN (Zen meditaiton), medicinal cuisine, Goma fire ritual, daily morning yoga, while staying in a luxuly Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) with a private hot spring. Please note that this retreat is for solo travelers and all prices are per person based on single occupancy. This tour requires a minimum of 4 participants. If this number is not met, we may cancel with a 35-day notice and full refund.

Shinsho-ji Temple

91 Numakumacho Kamisanna, Fukuyama, Japan, 720-0401Spend an afternoon dedicated to understanding the Zen philosophy. Firstly, learn Zazen (Zen meditation) and breathing techniques at the Zen Dojo of Shinshoji Temple. Meditate with a calm mind in a serene environment. Later, we will have a special Japanese calligraphy and naming ceremony. You will be given a personalized kanji character which had been selected from among the Heart Sutra for each individual tour participant. You will have the opportunity to write the kanji with an ink brush. To finish off your day at the temple, stroll through the spacious Japanese garden and enjoy the collection of Zen Buddhist art and installation works to understand the philosophy of Zen.3 hours • Admission Ticket FreeView Location

Higashidogo SoratoMori, a luxuly Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) with a private hot spring.

Lunch (Try the thick Yudame Udon eaten by Zen monks at Shinsho-ji Temple. The dish is served in the style of a monastery meal. )
