Capture the magic of the northern lights. Immerse yourself in the vastness of the Arctic on a nighttime expedition dedicated to photographing the northern lights. Guided by local experts passionate about photography and science, this adventure allows you to experience one of the world’s most amazing natural spectacles and capture it in memorable images.
We will start the tour in Abisko, where we will have a delicious dinner in a local restaurant (included). During this 4 to 6-hour expedition (depending on aurora activity and weather), we will travel in a 4×4 van through icy landscapes, far from light pollution, to locations known only to locals (up to 300 km), where the chances of witnessing and capturing the northern lights are the best.
While we await the auroras and gaze at the night sky, you’ll enjoy a basic astronomy lesson. Your professional guide and photographer have a deep knowledge of meteorology and astronomical science, he will provide valuable insights for capturing the perfect aurora photograph, from camera settings to composition.
If you are not into photography, just enjoy the show and bring home the best memories because the photos of the tour are included.

Pickup details
Tour operator will pick up all customers from their respective locations; or, customers can make their own way to the start point- Travelers CANNOT choose a custom pickup or meeting location.
- Pick up and drop off is included in your hotel in Abisko, Björkliden or Riksgränsen. Your guide will contact you and ask you about your hotel where he will pick you up.
