It is said that the amount of rain and snow falling on Mount Fuji totals approximately 2.1 billion tons per year, with around 1.8 billion tons of this water being stored annually. This water seeps into the mountain, flowing underground, and eventually emerges as spring water on the surface of the foothills after several decades.
