About the Activity
Live a truly experience of a lifetime on small groups of 9 people maximum (regular tours take around 15-25 people per boat), avoiding big crowds and long waiting prior to swim with whale sharks. Just a few minutes away from the city of La Paz, you will search, see and swim with one or various whale sharks, guided by a local marine biologist which will introduce you to the specifics of the species and also record with a go pro pictures and videos of the tour, which we will send to you digitally after the tour day. After, we will take you for a 2nd snorkeling spot at San Rafaelito, a little rock formation with a sea lions colony, coral reef and many fish to see around. And at the end, considered Mexico's most beautiful beach, we will go to Balandra beach for some relax time and complete lunch (fish ceviche, burritos, fruit and drinks). You can eat there, get in the water or just take a nap after all the snorkeling you did.6 hours

We will meet at "Marina de La Paz" located in "Topete and Miguel de Legaspy" streets. It is VERY important to arrive on time.
Then we will give you all the gear you need: mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit (shortie). After that we will depart to the whale shark area and request a spot in the control stand for the Whale Shark area.
Once we found one or more we will start the watching and snorkel activity. Our groups are 9 people maximum per boat, this ensures not crowded boats and a more professional and personalized service. We will do the snorkeling activity in groups of 2 to 4 at the same time on the water, so you have a comfortable experience. The guide will take turns with every group and you will be able to swim several times and very probable with more than one whale shark, the times you want to snorkel depends on you, we won't limit you to jump in the water just 1 or 2 times as it can be usual with other tours.View Location

- In case of bad weather forecast, we will let you know 2-3 days in advance. In some cases the waves can be moderate causing a choppy ride, and on other days with high winds, the bay may be closed officially to all boat tours
- Bring towel and warm clothes (VERY important Nov-March) and biodegradable sunscreen

No redemption point. This is a direct entry ticket• It is VERY IMPORTANT to arrive on time (at least 10 min before) at the time showed on your reservation. Once we got the spot on the whale shark area, if we don't arrive on time, we can not enter at all in the day. • Bring swimsuit, towel and sweatshirt/cold clothes (Dec-March) if you bring sunscreen please bring biodegradable, other ones are not allowed. • Contact: Alejandra Briseño for any further information at +526121071604 or info@mexplorebcs.com • Please provide us with a contact phone number where we can reach you Please consider the following information, since it is very important for you to plan your schedule around this tour: This is a very special tour since La Paz is one of the only spots in the world where we can enjoy the whale sharks in a sustainable and conscious way, that's why the government has several rules in order to protect them. The whale shark area is restricted to only 14 boats at the time, thus we get turns assigned every day. On average, we get the turn we requested 95% of the time, but some times we get a later turn on the day, or in a worst case, we don't get a turn at all (this is very unlikely, the last season this happened only on 2 tours out of 200+) so we ask you kindly to be reachable on your phone or here because in any of this cases we need to inform you the day before, that is when we know which turn we got. Also in case of bad weather we will let you know 2-3 days in advance. The pictures and videos that we offer are taken with a GoPro by your guide. The quality of the footage varies a lot and depends on: your swimming abilities, water visibility which changes from day to day and if the whale sharks are swimming fast or slow.
