About the Activity

We will pick you up from Reykjavik on our minivan marked with our Troll Expeditions Logo. The pick up starts at the same time stated on your voucher and it can last up to 30 minutes. Once everyone is aboard, off we go to Thingvellir National park to take part in one of the most exciting activities in the world: snorkelling between 2 continental tectonic plates! Our guide will be at the meeting point waiting for you; once there, you will get ready with all the gears we provide: you just need to make sure you wear comfortable clothes (a thin layer of thermal clothes is recommended). It will take 5 minutes to walk to the Silfra fissure. From the outside, you may think this is just a regular lake; wait to be immersed underwater, and you will see the wonders of pure and clear glacier water, with an extraordinary visibility of about 100 meters! Our guide will take photos of you while snorkelling. Once the activity has finished and everyone is ready, we will drive you back to Reykjavik.

Due to traffic regulations, we can't stop at all hotel entrances downtown, so please read carefully if you will be picked up at your hotel or at the nearest designated Bus Stop (usually no further than a couple of mins walk). Not allowed for pregnant women
Not allowed for clients under 12 and over 69 (Clients aged between 60 and 69 need a medical waiver signed by a doctor)
You must have a height and weight of minimum 150 cm and 45 kilos, and of maximum 200 cm and 120 kilos.
Not allowed for travellers who do not meet our medical statement requirements
Basic swimming ability is required

Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellable up to 24 hours before the travel date (local supplier time) for a full refund. A 100% cancellation penalty applies for cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the start time.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Suplier may cancel the activity on account of bad weather conditions.
Cancel at least 1 day before activity starts in Atlantic/Reykjavik time to receive 100% refund.
