About the Activity
Climb Monkey Mountain. Enjoy local food & coconut Your experience begins at the "Sayulita bus station", where we will take local transportation to the town of Higuera Blanca (25 min). After a brief introduction, we will begin the 8 km/5mi hike. The trek begins on a trail deep into the jungle, followed by a long climb and rock scramble to reach the summit. The difficulty is moderate. At the summit, you will have time to rest and admire the scenery. On the way down, we will stop to meet Don Pedro, who will give you a fresh coconut. Afterward, we'll continue to "La Casa de Mamá Toña", a charming restaurant in Higuera Blanca serving delicious Mexican food. Finally, a private shuttle will take you back to Sayulita. *If your tour is on Saturday, after the coconut, we'll go to "Purillos Restaurant" in Sayulita, a local restaurant specializing in traditional seafood. *Special diets? Sayulita, Mexico, 63486Your adventure begins at the Sayulita Bus Station, where we will take a local bus to the town of Higuera Blanca(25 min)
After a brief introduction we will begin the hike to Cerro del Mono. The round trip distance is 8 km/ 5 mile. We will start on a path that connects to the jungle, from there we will continue up a long hill and we will climb some rocks to the top of the hill. The difficulty intensity is medium - moderate.
During the tour you will learn about the flora and fauna and the geography of the place. As well as the culture, traditions and history of the Higuera Blanca and Sayulita
At the top of the hill you will have time to rest, admire the landscape and enjoy a small snack.
We will descend along the same path and stop at a station where you will meet “Don Pedro” who will have a fresh coconut for you. Then we going to "La Cocina de Mamá Toña" a small local restaurant with delicious mexican food.
