In about 2 to 3 hours you will drive by private car to Cemara Lawang village. There you will change cars.
By private 4WD Jeep you continue to the viewpoint at mount Penanjakan. Enjoy a coffee break with a hot cup of coffee or tea and a local snack before the sun rises.

Mount Bromo
IndonesiaThen it will be a 45 minutes walk to the top of mount Bromo - one way. Look back every now and then. Not only to grab your breath, but also to consume the ever changing landscape.
One can always rent a horse, if you don't like walking (not included - about IDR 100,000).
Standing at the top of this active volcano is an awe-inspiring experience.
When you return to your Jeep, your driver is waiting for you. You will head back to Cemara Lawang village where you will have breakfast.

Madakaripura Waterfall
Probolinggo, Indonesia, 67183These enchanting waterfalls are located on route to Surabaya. The walk is fairly easy and takes only about 30 min one way. But... be ready to get wet.
