We depart before 6:30am from San Salvador. We make a stop at a gas station for bathrooms and snacks. This is a semi private hike, only our group will participate in the guided hike up to the summit. The distance to the summit is 3.7 km (2.5 miles) and the elevation gain is 500 mts (1500ft). It should take around 1 hour and 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes to reach the summit. We stay for a moment at the summit for pictures and a snack and then we return to the vehicle. After we are done we can have some food on the way or a beer with a great view of Lake Coatepeque.
