Join the biking adventure of a life time! Feel the easiness of electric assistance and climb easily to the top of the hill. Enjoy the silence of the winter wonderland of Ounasvaara hill. And get amazed of the arctic forests just stone throw from the city center of Rovaniemi. Nice trails, small groups and smile on a bike guaranteed! This is a private tour with no other riders in your group. The route is always tailored to suit your wishes and abilities. It is a perfect ride from very beginners to experienced riders. As long as you can ride a regular bike, you are welcome! Our special e-fatbikes make even riding uphill easy and fun on the snowy winter trails! We’ll start the trip from the city center. In just few minutes after crossing the monumental bridge we'll arrive the snowy and silent forest of Ounasvaara hill. Before the tour we meet up at the cosy cafeteria of Hostel Cafe Koti. Feel free to come well in advance, relax, buy a cup of good coffee or tasty lunch. Pro tip for cold days: Avoid putting all your winter clothes on yet. If you get sweaty already, it's going to be cold when stopping at the the trails.

Ounasvaara Winter Trail

The easiest way to the top is a wide cycling path, but most of the time we use purpose made mountain bike trails. During the ride there is good time for enjoying the silence and the beauty of the forest. And taking some photo memories of course. :) 55 minutes • Admission Ticket Free5
The top of the hill, Tottorakka ski lift station is the place of the best sceneries over the river valley and the endless forests of Arctic Circle. If you are lucky with the timing and weather, the sunset can be truly amazing here!
Just remember, you need to be ready to work a little bit to reach the highest peak of the hill. The last part of the trail is quite steep and sometimes a bit challenging when the snow is soft. But the scenery is worth every effort. Promise.
