About the Activity
Discover the beauty of paddling on the Elbe river in combination with a relaxing return by bike along the Elbe Cycle Route. The cycling trail follows the river without any hills, so even children will enjoy the trip. The river is calm without any weirs and therefore suitable for beginners. We are bringing you to our most popular tour distance from Decin to Schmilka. The tour lenght is 15 km each way and takes around 5 hrs. Your tour starts at Camp Děčín, where we will hand you a canoe or a kayak, paddle and a dry bag. There will be a short briefing on-site. From now you´ll start the tour unguided, in your own pace independetly from other traveleres.The trip is a 15 km long pleasant padddling tour and you can reach neighboring Germany in 3 hours. During the tour, you will be amazed by the fabulous Bohemian Switzerland National Park from the water surface in the deepest sandstone canyon in Europe. The handover point for bikes is located on the right river bank of the picturesque village of Schmilka, directly at the ferry station. There you can visit a local microbrewery or cafe with breathtaking views.
You will enjoy the way back by bike, which we will bring you there. To get to the Elbe cycling trail on the left side of the river, you will use the ferry first. The cycling trail is lovely and brings you in less than 2 hrs back to teh campsite in Decin wherefrom you started in the morning.View Location
