Meet a warm and welcoming host family in a cozy and traditional Portuguese home. Paulo, Susana and their two children will be expecting you with some classic Portuguese appetizers and a glass of wine. Expect a very local and authentic culinary experience in a family atmosphere, with Paulo and Susana sharing lots about Lisbon's history, culture and food scene. After a welcome appetizer and drink, join Paulo and Susan in their kitchen to learn to prepare four traditional Portuguese dishes. Paulo will explain the origin of a few delicious Portuguese wines that are made near their home. During your hands-on cooking class you will learn to make two traditional Portuguese dishes from scratch in addition to helping prepare a couple of additional dishes. Learn the techniques involved in cooking Portuguese cuisine during your cooking lesson which will last about two hours.
