Travel Itinerary
- Exclusive to travelers from this booking.
Step into the home of local hosts Cindee and Michael in Juneau for a unique, intimate culinary experience. Michael is a proud member of the Tlingit tribe, the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast, (he continues to forage and fish in traditional ways) while Cindee was warmly adopted into the tribe. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with a refreshing drink and chat about the day’s menu, featuring traditional Indigenous dishes with a modern twist. In their open kitchen, enjoy a 2-hour hands-on cooking class to prepare authentic dishes while learning the rich history behind the ingredients and techniques.
As you cook together, your host introduces Indigenous flavors and ingredients rarely found in restaurants, offering a one-of-a-kind tasting experience. When the meal is ready, sit down to enjoy your feast with a blueberry mojito, vodka lemonade, or craft beer from local breweries.
This experience is more than a cooking class—it’s a chance to connect with Alaskan Native culture. Whether you’re a foodie, adventurer, or curious about local culture, this is an unforgettable culinary journey you won’t want to miss.View Location
