About Düben Heath
The Düben Heath Nature Park, which covers large parts of the self-titled Düben Heath, was the first nature park in Germany as a result of a citizens' initiative and not from a government office. Around 1990, to prevent further spread and development of mining in the neighborhood, the first citizens' initiatives were set up to protect and preserve nature in the area. The park is covered by a very varied, rolling heathland formed as a result of the Saale glaciation.Address : Germany
