Südfall is an island in the Wadden Sea on the North Sea coast in the west of Schleswig-Holstein. It has a size of 0.56 km² and administratively belongs to the municipality and district Pellworm. EiderstedtEiderstedt is a peninsula on the North Sea coast in the district of North Friesland in Schleswig-Holstein . It is about 30 kilometers long and 15 kilometers wide and was created around 1200 through land reclamation with dikes and dikes made up of two islands and a peninsula. In 2010, 22,356 people lived in the 24 cities and towns of the peninsula.
LangeneßLangeneß is a Hallig in the area of the North Frisian Islands off the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast between the large priels Norderaue and Süderaue. Langeneß itself has 16 Warften and is the largest Hallig. It has about 100 inhabitants and 58 households. There is also a daily ferry service to this beautiful place.
Multimar WattforumThe Multimar Wattforum in Tönning is the largest information center for the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park. It was opened in 1999 and expanded for the first time in January 2003. Its purpose is to inform the visitors of the national park about life in the Wadden Sea in different areas. In addition, the aquariums of the Wattforum - 11 large and 17 special aquariums with a total volume of 150 m³ - serve as a breeding site for threatened creatures.
Eider BarrageThe Eider Barrage is located at the mouth of the Eider River near Tönning on the German North Sea coast. Its main objective is protection against storm surges in the North Seas. It is the largest coastal protection structure in Germany. It was also intended to contribute to economic recovery in the districts of Norderdithmarschen.
Leuchtturm AmrumThe Amrum lighthouse is in the south of the German North Sea island of Amrum, about two kilometers west of Wittdün. It belongs to the municipality of Nebel and is one of the landmarks of the island. It is open to the public in the summer months. Also on Amrum are the beacons of Norddorf and Nebel and the disused fire carriers of Wittdün. The Wriakhörn beacon was dismantled in 2016.
Museum Art of the West CoastThe Museum Art of the West Coast is a beautiful art museum that mainly focuses on painting from 1830 until 1930 in the four North Sea countries of Norway, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands, to which the self-chosen general subject of “sea and seaside” is central. The collection concept encompasses the magnificent landscapes as well as the various areas of life and works along the west coast of the North Sea from northern Norway to the southern Netherlands.
