BalmenhornThe Balmenhorn is a 4,167 m listed elevation belonging to the Monte Rosa massif in the Pennine Alps. It is particularly known because on its summit there is the Felice Giordano bivouac and the majestic statue of Christ of the Peaks. It can be seen along the road that leads from Capanna Giovanni Gnifetti to Capanna Regina Margherita. It is not commonly listed among the Alpine peaks higher than 4000 meters because it does not meet all the criteria to be considered a peak in its own right.

It is located entirely in Italian territory along the watershed that divides the upper Lys valley from the upper Valsesia descending from Ludwigshöhe. Gnifetti HutThe Giovanni Gnifetti hut is a refuge located in the municipality of Gressoney-La-Trinité, on the Valle d'Aosta side of Monte Rosa, in the Pennine Alps, at 3647 m asl. The refuge has 176 beds and is open, with overnight stay and restaurant service, from Easter to September. As long as there was the Bocchetta delle Pisse - Punta Indren cable car, hikers preferred to use this ski lift to avoid the Stolemberg section, which extended the excursion by about 2 hours.

Rifugio città di MantovaThe Rifugio Città di Mantova is a refuge in the Aosta Valley in the Valais Alps. It is located at an altitude of 3498 m in the Lystal side valley near the Ghiacciaio del Garstelet glacier within the municipality of Gressoney. The hut is managed from the end of March to mid-April and from mid-June to mid-September and offers 80 mountaineers sleeping places.

Quintino Sella Refuge At FelikThe Quintino Sella refuge to Felik is a retreat located in the municipality of Gressoney-La-Trinité, in the valley of Lys, in the Pennine Alps at 3585 meters above sea level in the Monte Rosa massif. It is located on the edge of the Felik glacier. It has a capacity of 142 seats. The indicative opening goes from June to September and is often conditioned by the climatic characteristics. The most frequented access takes place from the Lys valley.

GornergratThe Gornergrat is a rocky ridge of the Pennine Alps, overlooking the Gorner Glacier south-east of Zermatt in Switzerland. It can be reached from Zermatt by the Gornergrat rack railway, the highest open-air railway in Europe. Between the Gornergrat railway station and the summit is the Kulm Hotel. It can be reached from Zermatt via the Gornergrat railway, the terminus station is located 100 meters away. The hotel includes an observatory, two restaurants and a small shopping mall. The KOSMA telescope was installed in the southern tower while the Gornergrat Infrared Telescope was installed in the northern tower.

It lies on the range that separates the Mattertal from the Saastal and is located approximately halfway between the Rimpfischhorn and the Schwarzberghorn. There are three less known peaks of the same name in Switzerland. A beautiful place to spend some beautiful time.

Zumsteinspitze
The Zumsteinspitze is a huge mountain peak located in the Pennine Alps on the border between Italy and Switzerland. It was the first summit of the Monte Rosa massif to be climbed. Its name comes from the topographer Joseph Zumstein, who explored the peak with other scientists. It is one of the 4 Monte Rosa summits looming high above the Macugnagna valley and forming the famous Monte Rosa East wall, the biggest and highest rock face in the Alps.
