About Gileppe Dam & Lake
Built in the 1870s to supply water for the wool industries nearby, it is an arch-gravity dam on the Gileppe river. It was the first dam built in modern Belgium. The dam has a monumental lion sculpture created by the Belgian artist Antoine-Félix Bouré, who is famous for his public lion sculptures in Brussels and Charleroi.Address : Jalhay, Liège province, Wallonia, Belgium
